  • Conversions: If your gas bill is like mine, they bill you for Therms.  You must have multiplied by 29 (more or less) to get kWh.  The funny thing is there is another conversion factor.  Gas meters are volumetric.  There is an essentially magic conversion factor to go from volume (e.g. CCF) to energy (Therms).  The one listed on my bill is x 1.026.  I know from experience that actual energy content varies when the gas is extracted from the ground, so I wonder how the factor is determined.
